Instead of being true to who they are and who they want to work with, and designing their brands based on that… They copy industry standards, and they create a brand that looks like everyone else in their industry. We don’t want you to fall into that death trap. Becasue if you look like everyone else, you will won’t stand out, you will be lost in the noise. Don’t do it friend. Dare to be you.

LOOK – HOW TO DESIGN YOUR BRAND

Focusing in on the LOOK of your brand. Now that you have a solid foundation, having clarity on who YOU are as the founder, WHO you want to work with, and WHY you do what you do – it will make this step so much easier. You won’t be guessing, you’ll know how your brand should look. Since you know your brand should be designed in a way that your WHO will resonate with and that stays authentic to who you are. It’s really that simple.

The BIGGEST challenge will be for you to stay true to those main point and not be a copycat and designing your brand based on others in your industry. Don’t fall for the temptation to just copy others. Copycats will never be leaders, stay committed to incorporating who you are am into your brand design AND just make sure that it resonates with who you want to work with. That’s it.

IT’S LIKE

Dating. Imagine going out on a date with someone and instead of being yourself you pretend to be like your really cool friend Dave. Because you think this will help you make the date a success and get her to agree to go on a second date. The thing is when you try to be like someone else, people pick up on it. They’re smart. And you’re going to come across as fake… which is going to sabotage any chances of a second date. 

Now, you might be thinking… but wait I’m really good at pretending to be someone I’m not. Haha. The thing is, eventually it will catch up with you and again it WILL sabotage any chances of you building a legacy brand.

HERE’S AN EXAMPLE

The clients that we see have the greatest success after they launch their new brands are the ones that have stayed the truest to who they are and who they want to work with. The ones who don’t take our advice and insist on just creating a brand that is similar to others in their industry still do ok, but they ARE NOT the ones we see have incredible results… 

Meaning incredible revenue results AND fulfilling their purpose AND building a die-hard tribe AND being on their way to building a legacy brand. Those kind of results we only see with clients who go full out on staying true to who they are and who they want to work with. BUT one more ingredient is also a must, they have to be epic as a founder.

Let’s go back to the dating example… staying true to who you are isn’t going to help you if you’re a total douche? Right? The date probably won’t even last 5 minutes. This is why we talk about how important personal growth is!!! 

If you want an epic brand, you need to be committed to becoming your best you. This doesn’t mean you become polished and totally unrelatable, it just means you work on becoming someone who others want to follow, someone who inspires. Then when you’re yourself you’re not going to have to worry about the chances of getting that second date.

REMEMBER

FAILURE ISN’T FINAL.

Your failure isn’t final! If you’ve failed, so have we. Today is the day to get back up and start taking steps forward. We believe in you and we know your life has great purpose. Get after it!

ACTION STEP

If you’re in the process of designing your brand ask yourself these two questions.

  1. Does this brand stay TRUE to who I am?
  2. Does this brand call out to my dream client?

Meaning would this brand get my dream client to stop scrolling. Would it be something they TOTALLY resonate with? Remember you aren’t trying to reach everyone, just that one dream client you described in Module Three. Designing a brand that will reach everyone will result in a blah brand, and we don’t want you to make that mistake.

If the answer is yes to both of those questions then move forward with confidence. If not, then go back to the drawing board until you can answer yes to both!
