Focusing in on WHO you want to work with. Once you know EXACTLY WHO you want to work with you will have a key element for the blueprint of your brand.

When you ask yourself this question, “who do I want to work with?” and if your answer is everyone… watch out! Trying to attract everyone is one of the BIGGEST mistakes you can make as you build your brand. NOW, this doesn’t mean that you CAN’T attract people from all different age demographics, different genders, ethnicities and economic levels. Knowing the specifics of your WHO will simply keep your brand on track. This will be your North Star to make sure your brand stays on track and isn’t bouncing from one trend to the other. AND the best part is that if you stay true to focusing on your who, your dream clients will SELF-IDENTIFY with your brand.

IT’S LIKE

Being unclear on your WHO, is like trying to sail from San Diego to Hawaii without a clearly charted course and navigation devices. It’s like setting sail and saying I’ll figure it out as I go, I don’t want to be too ridged, I want to just go with the flow. How do you think that’s going to go?! You’ll NEVER make it to Hawaii!! Whereas if you have a clearly charted course and all the navigational tools you need, you know you’ll make it Hawaii.

Knowing WHO you want to work with gives you the clear course for keeping your brand consistent, on track AND will allow you to attract those dream clients… WHY?

Because your brand is built to attract those specific clients!  You know what they resonate with, you know what they enjoy doing, you know what their mindset is, you know what their problems are, you know what they’re looking for. That’s why if you build a brand based on your WHO, you WILL attract your dream clients.

Now, can you start to understand how hard it would be to build a brand that will BRAVE+EXPAND if you try and cast your net too brand? You won’t have the specifics you need to set a clear course of action!

ACTION STEP

Take 5 minutes and answer these questions. Who do you enjoy working with? Who are the clients who energize you? What do they enjoy doing? What is their mindset about life? What are their main problems? What do they resonate with? How do they learn? What drives them? 

The clearer you can be on your WHO, the clearer your course of action will be as you build your brand.
